Climate Positive Closes its Doors and Announces Grants for Climate Change Action
After six successful years as a leading not-for-profit voluntary carbon offset organisation, Climate Positive has decided to close its doors and allocate its remaining capital to climate change action groups.
The plummeting price of carbon offset products in the voluntary market has made the business’ model unviable. Equally, the lack of a genuine connection between very low carbon offset prices and the ‘real’ price of carbon pollution has reduced the incentive for the organization to remain active in the market.
